Adieu Adieu, parting is such sweet sorrow. (for the most part)

This blog no longer serves a purpose considering that The Green Lady and the Black Talon have parted ways, irreconcilable differences will remain as the general cause.

To the Black Talon, my family and friends,

Dearest Family,

I have known almost all of you for a long time and you have become my IC friends and a few have become my family. OOC, you are all good friends to me and I treasure the friendships I have made over the past 2 years but the time as come to part ways.

I spoke out once before about my thoughts on Talon and was banished for it and again I will speak out and quite possibly be shunned for it once again but it must be said. Talon is a not a democracy, nor is it a parliamentary system, there is no vote, there is only one ruler and what is said goes. I know that my opinions differ from many and that my roleplay is not your roleplay, everyone has their own interpretation on the books and how they will play the characters they have created for themselves in this world. I miss the way it used to be, when roleplay was the primary focus, when weapons and sims sucked so it was easier to not fight so much and roleplay more. The old days are no more, but these new days seem grim in my eyes. We complain about the vast amount of bowhunters and Gor-crafters, the meta gamers and godmodders, the capture whores and the pew-pew groups. What I see though is that we are becoming more like them, there are more raids then roleplay, the roleplay usually revolves around a raid in some sense and those who do not or cannot fight are limited in their roleplay options because of it.

My decision is my own, I am not writing this to make anyone angry, I write to be able to speak my mind and not be ignored because I don't fight or because I play as a kajira. I treasure both my accounts because they are both part of me, if my account sharing bothers some then feel free to remove me from your friends lists so you do not see me log on or off. My characters are who they are and they will not be changed just because a trait does not please someone.

Second life and Gor as an extension is a place for me to have fun and be creative, it is a massive storybook being written by thousands of other people. It is purely fun for me no matter who I play as. Lately I have not been having fun though, it has been stressful to me and I do not come here for that. The ideas of the taxation was fun as a large group but being split into teams makes things into a competition and the ever increasing rules just makes things more strict and I am not here to be bossed around and made to roleplay a certain way that pleases the higher ups.

To those who wish to remain friends, I will give my IC location to you if you desire it so we can continue to roleplay together. To those who wish to part ways with me, I wish you well in your roleplay.

Kur: Friend or Foe?

The past couple days interacting with the Kur next door have been a bit insane. There has been a massacre of Kur bu way of fire. A death of a Talon by Kur. A bounty put on all of our heads and finally now it seems like there will be at least a tentative peace. As of last night a gift of a captive was given to the Kur leader in goodwill and services were rendered by him in return in assistance.

The current ruling? No combat with the Kur what so ever, there will be interaction and RP but no Talon is to engage any Kur from 6Claws next door in combat.

I look forward to the interesting RP of how things will turn out between the Kur and Talon and I hope that we will have at least a mildly peaceable relationship as neighbors.
